Student Ambassadors are a small group of student leaders (10th, 11th and 12th graders) dedicated to the positive promotion of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School. They exhibit academic excellence and a strong commitment to community service. The Student Ambassadors serve as front line representatives of Holy Family Cristo Rey to prospective families, specifically prospective students. They will work on a volunteer basis.
Student Ambassadors are visible at many campus events held for prospective students and families and in conjunction with other organizations on campus when necessary. Student Ambassadors have the unique opportunity to develop and receive training in communication, public relations, marketing and interpersonal skills.
Student Ambassadors serve as an essential component to promoting the Holy Family Cristo Rey’s mission. Several responsibilities are placed on the Student Ambassador.
Greet and host prospective families at Open House (Fall and Winter)
Answer questions of students and parents during various school events and activities such as Shadow Day, school tours, and school visits
Accompany the Admissions Director on school visits to recruit incoming freshmen
Assist with entrance assessment for incoming students
Serve as mentors and facilitators during Corporate Training Institute
Lead discussions or icebreakers with prospective students and current students
Potentially serve as a model for marketing photos or video shoots
Assist with set up and take down of various events
Help with basic office support
Assist in the recruitment of future recruitment of Student Ambassadors
Serve in other various capacities and roles as directed by the Admissions and Corporate Internship staff
Sharpen communication, public speaking skills
Improve interpersonal, conversational and leadership skills
Enhance confidence when speaking and interacting with others
Develop networking skills through participation at exciting events
Currently enrolled in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade at Holy Family Cristo Rey
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Student in good disciplinary status
Strong work ethic and responsibility
Enthusiastic and positive attitude
Willingness to develop and improve communication and leadership skills
Ability to balance academics, co-curricular activities and community service
Able to speak about Holy Family with an honest and positive perspective
A sincere desire to help Holy Family and help to foster the school’s positive reputation
Student Ambassador Program Requirements
To remain in an active Student Ambassador you must attend ALL meetings and 1 training session, actively participate in volunteer offerings, and conduct ALL ambassador actions in a professional manner. Failure to do so, results in immediate disqualification of position by the Admissions/Corporate Internship staff.
