About the competition

BBQ @ the ZOO is a family-friendly amateur cook-off for backyard barbecue enthusiasts held on the third Saturday in April at the Birmingham Zoo.  The event features live music, a silent auction, and admission to the Children’s Zoo.  Proceeds from BBQ @ the Zoo help provide a proven college preparatory education to promising students who cannot afford traditional private schools.  Your participation in this event will help prepare the motivated scholars at Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School to be successful in college and beyond...  Now let’s get cookin’!
